Our training, like any learning situation, requires a certain level of academic aptitude. Our course includes many hours of classroom learning, which every student must benefit from. We require our students to have either a High School Diploma
or GED. If you do not have one of these, you may take an Ability To Benefit test,
which ensures a 9th grade reading and mathematical comprehension level.
Working as an AC/Refrigeration Technician can be a mildly physically demanding job. All students should have good hand-eye coordination, be able to lift at least 30 pounds, and be comfortable stooping, bending, crawling, and climbing.
Because we provide Job Placement Assistance to each of our graduates, Career Training Institute does not accept students who will not be good candidates for technician jobs.
Any of the following situations may disqualify you from admission into our training program:
-
Active Probation or Parole
-
Incarceration within five years
-
Felony conviction within five years
-
DUI or DWI within five years
-
Excessive traffic violations
-
Suspended driver's license, and ineligible for instant renewal
-
No active driver's license, and ineligible or unwilling to apply for one
